Talk:Hey Sexy Lady

From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

I think that Eastern Motors actually predates Shaggy's song: Not only do I think I heard it earlier than 2002, this article says it debuted in 1995 and was never changed: http://www.examiner.com/a-376995~Eastern_Motors_founder_Bassam_finds_fortune_with_second_chance_financing.html This one is mixed - it says that he used Hey Sexy Mama but it also says the jingle started "nine years ago" (which in 2006 would be 1997, well before Shaggy's song) http://www.washingtonian.com/articles/businesscareers/992.html It's possibly Shaggy took the song off Eastern Motors - would they have been able to run so many commercials, paying him royalties, if it was the other way around?

[edit] Eastern Motors portion

I changed it to neutral wording until it can be determined who had the instrumental part first. IceJew 15:29, 26 June 2007 (UTC)
