[edit] Deleted Article
Talk is good. I'll recreate the article as a subpage from your user page and we can see what we can do about it. Thanks for your measured approach. Normally deletion results in anything but! Pedro : Chat 15:01, 28 September 2007 (UTC)

- Thanks Pedro. I'm new to the wiki game, but know enough about netiquette to know that shouting rarely works. Let me know how you get on.Hew BG 15:08, 28 September 2007 (UTC)
I'm about to go offline, probably until tomorrow. Take a look at the broken links (click on your user page - it's in your sandbox) and feel free to flesh it out. Don't worry about WP:COI at the moment, I can rewrite if need be. Let me know and then we can restore it. Pedro : Chat 15:39, 28 September 2007 (UTC)

[edit] Broken Links
As regards the broken links, I'm struggling a little. In most cases, the item referred exists as a broken link in other articles but no actual article exists:
- Leiths School of Food and Wine. This is referred to in the following articles:
- Prue_Leith - she's the founder
- Susan Spaull - Lucinda's co-author
- Christopher Bland - one of the major shareholders. This article mentions the school, but without the link
- Bibendum Restaurant. This is referred to in the following articles:
- Terence_Conran#Work. Oddly this appears to be the only one of his restaurants that does not have a wiki article.
- Michelin House This is the building which has been converted into the restaurant and from which the restaurant takes its name (from the Michelin motto "Nunc est Bibendum"
Most of these articles probably need to be created, but I rather doubt that I am the person to do so. I have attempted to use exactly the same text as other articles so that the links will resolve as soon as the article appears.
I'd welcome some ideas as to how to progress this.
[edit] Citation
Hi Hew BG. I've made some minor changes. The main thing is citing some sources for the article as it needs to be verifiable. I appreciate you're an author so know about such things. I'm pretty keenly aware of it being the son of an author with over 500 books (name not revealed on wiki but please e-mail me if you'd like more!!). The article is good as it goes, but check the policies I've linked to (in blue) References are all important. I tend to duck in to Wikipedia over the weekend irregularly due to family commitments, but will ensure that I do so to get this put back to the mainspace asap. - Try now. I've added a couple of references: the evening news article was readily to hand, but I should be able to get you a bigger source if I put my mind to it. As for the weekend - don't fret: I have family too, so won't be able to do too much and besides I'm immensely grateful for your guidance in improving the page - I was going to leave it as it was in the first submission. :-)
-
- BTW: I'm not the author - I think you'll be able to see the link if you read the Ed Evening news article carefully. I've also added a section on the awards for the Techniques Bible (together with references of course!) - I think you'll agree that the they would have fallen rather seriously foul of the CoI rules.

[edit] Lucinda Bruce-Gardyne - restored
Restored to the main space. Again my apologies for deleting too quickly. Any probems or help required please just ask! Pedro : Chat 13:29, 29 September 2007 (UTC)
