Heterixalus rutenbergi is a species of frog in the Hyperoliidae family. It is endemic to Madagascar. Its natural habitats are subtropical or tropical high-altitude grassland, swamps, freshwater marshes, intermittent freshwater marches, and arable land. It is threatened by habitat loss.
