Hi there, Very new to Wiki, I see your point though, will refine my additions to the very specific speci only. Also, I do actually regret that there are no pictures of the actual timber on these pages, as the australian timbers can be so wild and amazingly figured, and so few people even know what they look like inside. There I am going through the un rated importance article and a handful of names I havent heard of turn with high rating for Aus law. No worries needed to move some kids around, thought they could stay awake long enough to watch Shrek. Judges are difficult case:) they get mentioned alot in the news, but do they rate as notable. The article I cite states that '[t]he rust fungus was introduced into South Africa from Australia in 1987 for the bio-control of Port Jackson, and has successfully established itself throughout the range of this weed' (my emphasis). There is no foundation position. We worked very hard to get this user to stop posting harassing information on his website. All parties were notified. A month and a half later, one of those admins decides to post this: <http://en.wikipedia.org/w/index.php?title=User_talk%3AColScott&diff=136496298&oldid=128145952>, thereby stirring up a hornets nest all over again. ColScott responded with antagonism, he's not a friendly person to begin with. H blocked him. Remembering the problems from before, I unblocked him. Everything turned into a huge mess. All the Personal Attacks have been on his user page, and they have all been response to antagonism. This is not a friendly man, and nobody should be posting on his page or blocking him for Personal Attacks that are in response to an already sensitive sitaution. If people talk to him he will talk back with them. You can be as disgusted as you want, it won't change the facts. Some people are habitually nasty. We've never really edited alongside each other. I saw you a few times as an anon editor, but didn't ever really contribute on the same thing, I think. I'd like to kinda say goodbye. In this whole ColScott crazyness, you seem to be sane about it, and I liked your summary of position on the AN board. I'm ticked right now due to something personal on this whole thing, so I'm not unbiased. Ha, I'd just like to think SOMEONE read this, it got removed after a few seconds, and I understand why. I'm likely inflammatory about it, and for that I'm sorry. Since you don't know me, I'll understad if you just delete this comment from your page and never give it a second thought. I'll still be around on my talk page, and still be editing the project, I'm not leaving altogether. But I am going to contribute where able without using talk pages as much, and certainly with no mind to stuff like WP:ANI, etc. Anyway, if you feel like reading something that got removed from the AN page, give this a look. [edit] 'upright' picture parameter...

The 'upright' picture parameter gets around thumb'ed portraits having the same horizontal dimension as a landscape, and thus being overly big. More info here. It's worked to reasonable effect in the 'history' section of Indonesia. Note that without it, the two portrait shaped pics would be as wide as the landscape shot. [edit] Commas or parentheses for scientific name in opening sentence and elsewhere

(Now that was a long header wasn't it?) There's a debate here about commas versus parentheses for scientific names for organisms (well in this case birds). I see the point about Banksia,and I sort of agree and disagree because it's "only for stub amd start articles." While I see the point that the article as a whole is then usually inappropriate, I have a visceral annoyance with overlong taxoboxes the stretch beyond the article (although that is more of an irrational editing fiat.) I haven't looked much after other articles because it rapidly gets tiring to do these changes.
As for the subsp. thing, I agree. I should have looked into it a bit more (although since "subspecies") was given,I still think it was a bit unnecesary. Circeus 00:30, 21 June 2007 (UTC)

There's a (small, but annoying) issue with letting George's taxonomic arrangement of Dryandra act as a species list for Dryandra: it leaves Dryandra prionotes linked solely from List of Banksia species. Also, you originally omitted to actually link George,s arrangement from Dryandra, I've fixed that. Circeus 04:24, 26 June 2007 (UTC)

User:Djlayton4 has been working on cleaning up material related to aster and its segregates, and is not close to seeing the end of it. I don't even dare thinking to actually work on more than one species in Asclepias, or to revisit Pilosella officinarum and P. aurantiaca.
Anyway, I had just assumed that particular change (separating the list) was completed as intended. As is, the best way to deal with this thorny problem (at least until a complete new classification is properly published) might be to simply mention Dryandra prionotes as a species posterior to George. Is it acceptable for Wikipedia to list it under sect. (now subser., I suppose) Armatae? Circeus 05:12, 26 June 2007 (UTC)

Well, it looks like the burial categories are going to be kept. You should be exceedingly happy that this was a group nomination; I doubt that such a strong consensus would have been built up for keeping these categories had they been nominated individually.

Could you perhaps find a way to manage and maintain the burial categories once the nomination is closed? At the very least, they could be organized by country.

Also, would you mind if I drafted a decent tabulated list for people buried in a cemetery? I just want to demonstrate that lists can work very nicely. Dr. Submillimeter 09:11, 26 June 2007 (UTC)

The image description page currently specifies that the image is non-free and may only be used on Wikipedia under a claim of fair use. However, the image is currently orphaned, meaning that it is not used in any articles on Wikipedia. If the image was previously in an article, please go to the article and see why it was removed. You may add it back if you think that that will be useful. However, please note that images for which a replacement could be created are not acceptable for use on Wikipedia (see our policy for non-free media).

If you have uploaded other unlicensed media, please check whether they're used in any articles or not. You can find a list of 'image' pages you have edited by clicking on the "my contributions" link (it is located at the very top of any Wikipedia page when you are logged in), and then selecting "Image" from the dropdown box.
