[edit] tags

Hi Heshs Umpire. Please do not remove the unreferenced and stub tags. They help other users to find the article and get it expanded, referenced, and categorized. Stub tags are removed once the article is more than just a couple paragraphs. Thanks --HResearcher 14:39, 8 September 2006 (UTC)

[edit] Dave Langan

This is an automated message from CorenSearchBot. I have performed a web search with the contents of Dave Langan, and it appears to include a substantial copy of http://www.heraldseries.net/oxfordunited/clubhistory/davelangan. For legal reasons, we cannot accept copyrighted text or images borrowed from other web sites or printed material; such additions will be deleted. You may use external websites as a source of information, but not as a source of sentences.

This message was placed automatically, and it is possible that the bot is confused and found similarity where none actually exists. If that is the case, you can remove the tag from the article and it would be appreciated if you could drop a note on the maintainer's talk page. CorenSearchBot 14:10, 9 October 2007 (UTC)

[edit] Speedy deletion of Seamus Dunne

A tag has been placed on Seamus Dunne, requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia per CSD A7.

Under the criteria for speedy deletion, articles that do not meet basic Wikipedia criteria may be deleted at any time. Please see the guidelines for what is generally accepted as an appropriate article, and if you can indicate why the subject of this article is appropriate, you may contest the tagging. To do this, add {{hangon}} on the top of the article and leave a note on the article's talk page explaining your position. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag yourself, but don't hesitate to add information to the article that would confirm its subject's notability under the guidelines.

If you think that this notice was placed here in error, you may contest the deletion. To do this, add {{hangon}} on the top of the page (just below the existing speedy deletion or "db" tag) and leave a note on the page's talk page explaining your position. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag yourself. Hazel77 13:24, 22 October 2007 (UTC)

[edit] Lack of sources

Your recent contribution(s) to the Wikipedia article 1926 Laois National Football League are very much appreciated. However, you did not provide references or sources for your information. Keeping Wikipedia accurate and verifiable is very important, and as you might be aware there is currently a drive to improve the quality of Wikipedia by encouraging editors to cite the sources they used when adding content. If sources are left unreferenced, it may count as original research, which is not allowed. Can you provide in the article specific references to any books, articles, websites or other reliable sources that will allow people to verify the content in the article? You can use a citation method listed at How to cite sources. Thanks! In addition, all of the following are marked as lacking sources:

[edit] Jimmy Hartnett

[edit] Fred Kiernan

Hi - I note that you have been creating articles about Irish footballers, and in particular I see the article about Fred Kiernan. As you may see, I have expanded this a little. Could you add your reference source to the article? Also, what is your source for the RoI international career? Happy editing. --Daemonic Kangaroo 06:58, 12 November 2007 (UTC)

[edit] Speedy deletion of Billy Sheehan (Gaelic football)

A tag has been placed on Billy Sheehan (Gaelic football) requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section A7 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because the article appears to be about a person or group of people, but it does not indicate how or why the subject is notable: that is, why an article about that subject should be included in an encyclopedia. Under the criteria for speedy deletion, articles that do not indicate the subject's importance or significance may be deleted at any time. Please see the guidelines for what is generally accepted as notable, as well as our subject-specific notability guideline for biographies.

If you think that this notice was placed here in error, you may contest the deletion by adding {{hangon}} to the top of the page (just below the existing speedy deletion or "db" tag), coupled with adding a note on the talk page explaining your position, but be aware that once tagged for speedy deletion, if the article meets the criterion it may be deleted without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag yourself, but don't hesitate to add information to the article that would would render it more in conformance with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. Lastly, please note that if the article does get deleted, you can contact one of these admins to request that a copy be emailed to you. Bardcom (talk) 22:18, 18 March 2008 (UTC)

[edit] AfD nomination of Laois Junior "C" Hurling Championship
