Hesleden is a village in County Durham, in England. It is situated to the south of Peterlee. Hesleden is a very wonderful and fascinating place to live. It has a large pond situated at the bottom next to the Hart to Haswell Walkway. Hesleden also has a park and Dene to walk through and explore.
Hesleden can really be surprising for its difference to the name. Hesleden was named Hesleden from the two words combined, Dene and Hesle which is Latin for trees.
Colin Bell, former England and Manchester City F.C. footballer, was born in Hesleden.
Hesleden has 1 pub, 2 clubs, and a youth club which is open on a Monday from 6 till 9 for the age group of 7 to 11 and open on Friday from 7 till 10 for the age group of 11 to 18s. It also has one post office / shop.
