Hesa Duwum Kohistan District

Hesa Duwum Kohistan District is a new district, created from the of split bigger Kohistan District in Kapisa Province, Afghanistan in its southern part. The center is to be the village of Keshektan. The population is 39,900 (2006) mostly Tajik. The Kohistani Tajiks were the most powerful and best organized groups that fought against the British occupation of Kabul in 1879 to 1880.[1]
