Disappearance of Madeleine McCann
Hi, thank you for your interest in Disappearance of Madeleine McCann. The Portuguese media have been discussing, for several weeks, various scenarios, some in lurid detail, and most negative to the McCanns. We have had several discussions and decided not to include them since they are based, in the main, on non-attributed, police sources of unknown reliability. We have also agreed that The Sun is not a reliable source because it has no record of fact checking and more background can be found on The Sun's WP page. We have an over-riding duty to comply with WP:BLP, with which your edit may be incompatible. I am therefore reverting your edit and posting the diff on the talk page to enable other editors to take a view. TerriersFan 01:54, 9 September 2007 (UTC)
- The parents have been declared arguidos which, as this link explains, is a particular legal status. It most categorically is not a formal accusation but indicates that the authorities have suspicions (a different matter) about which the media are speculating but about which the police have remained silent. The imminence of the charges is disputed - Sky News has just this minute reported that charges may be imminent or may be weeks away. In my opinion including this material is against the agreed consensus for this article but, it is now at the talk page, and other editors may take a different view. Your suggestion
Thank you for responding to my suggestion, I thought no one would for a good while. Mathematicians are cool! But anyway, I'm curious, why's it say 'archive3' is there a 1 or 2 maybe? *shrug* Anyway I really don't know who to go to to begin this. A host and an outline needs to be drawn up somehow to begin reviewing the wikisposure and to make those reviews public. Obviously such a thing would be the target of hacking by P-J since they don't want their lies and inaccuracies exposed, so I don't really have the confidence in securing such information. But it does need to be begun to give an outlet for those accused (or those in general who see problems with Wikisposure's logical leaps) to do their work. Tyciol 06:46, 17 September 2007 (UTC)
