User talk:Herb Huston

Hi Herb -
Thanks for your contributions to Succession of Bishops of the Episcopal Church in the United States. (Is Bp. Huston a relative, perhaps? No problem if he is...)
The consensus of editors seems to be to create the article under the full triple-decker name and abbreviate links. I tend to create the articles just as they're shown in the Episcopal Church Annual and deal with other versions of the name as they come up. (Yes, we should probably discuss this on the talk page...)
Welcome to Wikipedia in any case!

[edit] Right Reverend S. Arthur Huston
I don't use the San Joaquin page very much. They've occasionally got a link I can't find elsewhere, but there are enough errors to make me cautious.
My primary source for the succession table is the Episcopal Church Annual. The one I have is contradictory about your grandfather - the succession table there lists him as Simeon A., but the Dio of Olympia page lists him as S. Arthur. So for the moment I think it's something we can leave alone.
(I'm always glad to know how a bishop was called in his life - there are a lot of permutations possible...)

- I found that the link on Succession of Bishops of The Episcopal Church (U.S.) had been redirected, so I've been fixing the others. I don't feel comfortable editing your user page, but soon it will be the only link to S. Arthur instead of Simeon Arthur. ~ InkQuill 04:54, 20 January 2008 (UTC)
[edit] Unreferenced Bios
Hello, Herb Huston, and welcome to Wikipedia! Thank you for your contributions. I hope you like the place and decide to stay. I just added {{refimprove}} and {{Original research}} to one of your articles, Wilber Brotherton Huston‎. I noticed you've been the primary editor on this and a couple of other lengthy bios that are largely unsourced. Rather than seeming to be WP:STALK#Wikistalking your edits, I thought I'd ask you to see if you could provide sources as you write these articles. It's usually more work for folks to go back and add sources or remove unsourced statements, etc. than to add them at the time of creation. I suspect you'll want to go back and add sources to these articles as you seem to have quite a bit of information on them.
Also, If you're not familiar with them, you should probably check out Wp:cite as well as WP:OR and maybe WP:COI as several of these seem to have similar names to yours (not that's a problem as Bpmullins pointed out). Just a suggestion. Cheers. Happy editing! Toddstreat1 18:08, 27 September 2007 (UTC)
