Wallace Collins, Esq. is an attorney in private practice in New York who is currently "of counsel" to the firm of Serling, Rooks & Ferrara, LLP specializing in entertainment law, intellectual property and internet-related legal matters.
Wallace was a teenage recording artist for Epic Records and then United Artists before attending Fordham Law School, (Graduate: Fordham Law School 1987). He now represents various clients in the film, television, music and internet fields.
The firm represents artists such as JOHN MAYER, THE FRAY, MAROON 5, CREED, and MOBY, and Wallace has represented recording artists such as DRU HILL, YOUNG B ("Chicken Noodle Soup"), reggae superstar EDDY GRANT, rappers BEANIE SIGEL and CRAIG MACK and the musical director for N'SYNC, JUSTIN TIMBERLAKE and JANET JACKSON as well as personal managers who represented BLONDIE and THE RAMONES and producers who have done work for DAVID BOWIE, N'SYNC, PHISH and MARY J. BLIGE.
In addition to making deals for his clients, Wallace has also won several high-profile litigations, including a copyright infringement case with the largest monetary judgment ever awarded for the use of a single "sample" in the song "Whoomp! There It Is."
Wallace has authored numerous articles for legal and trade publications and is a regular contributor to Billboard, Entertainment Law and Finance and The New York Law Journal.
