HERSHEY & CHASE
THE HERSEY AND CHASE EXPERIEMENT WAS A SERIES OF EXPERIEMENTS CONDUSCTED IN 1952 BY ALFRED HERSEY AND MARTHA CHASE. THEY IDENTIFIED DNA TO BE THE GENETIC MATERIAL OF PHAGES AND ALL OTHER ORGANISMS. THEY MADE MANY EXPIREMENTS. THE EXPIREMENTS DEMONSTRATED THAT DNA IS THE GENETIC MATERIAL OF PHAGE AND THAT PROTIEN DOES NOT TRANSMIT GENETIC INFORMATION.
