I'm striking this text:

"They documented the Aranda traditions carefully, even though the practice of missionaries of the day was to attempt to wipe out the old traditions in favour of western Christian behaviour."

This is an article about a town. It's a rather sweeping claim that the practice of most (Christian, presumably?) missionaries was to eradicate the exisiting traditions, and in any event, should be discussed in an article about late 19th century proselytisation.
