[edit] Match-fixing allegations
In the introduction we have: While former players and cricket administrators suspected a case of match fixing, no material evidence supporting this has emerged. That's much more sweeping than what is said (with a citation) in the body of the article, which only mentions Hendry and Noble. As the introduction stands, it makes it sound as though suspicion of Collins was fairly general. I think it needs either a citation or toning down to be more in line with the body (eg by putting "a few" before "former players and adminastrators". JH (talk page) 17:40, 13 January 2008 (UTC)
- I agree. I finished writing the article late last night and it needs a read and copy-edit. -- Mattinbgn\talk 19:13, 13 January 2008 (UTC)

[edit] GA passed
An easy decision. An interesting read which covers the major points of his career with no obvious POV issues. A peer review might even set the article up for a punt at featured article candidates at some point in the future, though perhaps some more about his first-class career outside Tests ought to be included. Also, looking at the graph it looks like his batting nosedived in 1925, is there any information available about that? The only other points I have to raise are minor:
- Why was the 1912 triangular tournament disastrous?
- How did Collins break his thumb? Presumably he was batting, if so, is it known whose bowling caused the break?
- I noticed high use of serial commas, some of which might be removed. This might just be personal taste though. Oldelpaso (talk) 20:22, 5 February 2008 (UTC)
- Thank you for the review. I am a bit pressed for time on Wiki at present but will address those points (all good ones) when I have a chance. -- Mattinbgn\talk 21:15, 5 February 2008 (UTC)
