Talk:Herbert Yelland
From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia
This article says that he was elected as a National Party member; shouldn't this be either the Nationalist Party or the Country Party, seeing as the National Party wasn't the National Party until the 1970s? I'm just not sure which. Ambi 03:39, 30 November 2005 (UTC)
- My knowledge of Australian political parties is absolute rubbish. I suspect I am constantly getting these things wrong. My reference says
-
- CP until 1923 then MCP and Nat until 1930; CP after 1932, Ind. Nat in 1944.
- The abbreviations section includes the following entries:
- CP - Country Party
- MCP - Ministerial (Majority) Country Party
- Nat - Nationalist, National
- Ind. - Independent.
- If you can make sense of this, feel free to fix it. Snottygobble | Talk 03:46, 30 November 2005 (UTC)
