There is some ambiguity with comments just seen on the Cindy Sheehan wikipage, which seem to state that Mr. Shughurt was anti-withdrawal from Somalia, and not against the intervention per-se (as stated by "Shughart opposed the conflict and received some media attention in 1994"). Someone with more knowledge of the subject than me should perhaps investigate further, since it is a point surely fairly fundamenatal to the man's worldview.
