Herbie Popnecker from cover of Herbie comic issue 1 (April-May 1964) and the Fat Fury for the cover of Herbie comic issue 8 (March 1965).
Herbie always had a bowl-haircut, wore glasses, and his eyes were almost always half-closed. Except for two appearances in Forbidden Worlds comics, and when he was in disguise, Herbie always wore a white shirt with a short black tie, and blue pants held up by what must have been a very long belt.
As the Fat Fury, Herbie wore red flannel underwear with FAT FURY on the front in a yellow circle, a blue cape, some kind of balloon over his head, and a plunger on top of his head. His feet were bare.
