Herschel Lashkowitz

Herschel Lashkowitz (born ca. 1919 - died 1993) was an American politician from North Dakota, affilated with the Democratic Party.

A lawyer and veteran of the World War II, Lashkowitz served as a mayor of Fargo for twenty years: from 1954 until 1974, when he was defeated for re-election.

Lashkowitz was an independent candidate for Governor in 1960, but lost. He was also a Democratic nominee for Senator (class 3) in 1968, when he was defeated by a longtime Republican incumbent Milton Young.
