Herschel C. Loveless

Herschel Celiel Loveless (May 5, 1911 – May 4, 1989) was the Democratic governor of Iowa, from 1957 to 1961. He was born in 1911 in Hedrick, Iowa and died in 1989 in East Ottumwa, Iowa.
Loveless was reelected governor in 1958, and was the Democratic nominee for the U.S. Senate in 1960. However, Loveless lost to Jack Miller. He is interred at the Ottumwa cemetery in Ottumwa, Iowa.
