Herold is a brand of beer made in Herold Březnice Castle Brewery, a small brewery in Březnice, a small town 60 kilometers south of Prague, Czech Republic. It is reported to have a particularly smooth flavour, and is rather less gassy than other brands.

Beer was first noted to have been commercially brewed here in 1506. The brewery, originally part of a (now fully restored) castle formerly owned by the Kolowraty nobility, has produced and distributed excellent beer throughout Bohemia – today’s Czech Republic. Its age puts it firmly towards the top the list of world's oldest-established companies

Following WWII, the brewery, or pivovar in Czech language, was taken over by the Government and became part of the state-owned Institute for Brewing and Malt Production. Pivovar Herold Březnice is now once more operating under private ownership for the first time since 1945.

Herold beer available in the UK in some supermarkets(ASDA). The JD Wetherspoon pub chain sells both the lager and the dark bohemian lager version.
