Heroes Shed No Tears (traditional Chinese: 英雄無淚) (Ying Xiong Wei Lei) is a film made by John Woo in 1986, prior to his success of A Better Tomorrow. It is a story about a group of mercenaries on a mission to extract a drug lord from the Indochina area.
[edit] Release
The film exhibits some of John Woo's distinguishing marks, though he was reportedly dissatisfied with the end film and decided to shelve the project.[citation needed] However, after the success of A Better Tomorrow, the studio released this title and it gained moderate success under the title Sunset Warrior.
On July 17, 2006, Contender Entertainment Group released the film on DVD and it is now widely available.
