Hermann Gollancz

Sir Hermann Gollancz (1852 - 1930), was a British rabbi and Hebrew scholar. He was the first rabbi to receive a knighthood (in 1923).
He was professor of Hebrew (1902–1924) at University College, London.
He was the elder brother of Sir Israel Gollancz and the uncle of Victor Gollancz.
