Herman Carsten Johannes Scheel

Herman Carsten Johannes Scheel (born 1859, dead 1956) was a Norwegian law professional and university professor. Scheel attended University in Kristiania (Oslo) from 1876 and became Master of law in 1881. Following studies in Berlin and London, he was from 1887 a Research Fellow and lecturer of law at the Kristiania University. 1892 Juris Doctor. He was Minister of Justice in Wollert Konow's government 1910-1912. From 1912 he was Associate Justice, and from 1920-1929 Chief Justice of the Norwegian Supreme Court. Married to Sara Leonore Sandberg, 5 children.
