Herkimer County Community College is a two-year community college in the Village of Herkimer in Herkimer County, New York, USA. The college is in the northwest part of the village, bounded on the north by Reservoir Road.

The initial planning for Herkimer Community College began with a meeting in 1962 in Dolgeville, New York. The college was approved by the State University of New York in 1965, and the County Board of Supervisors authorized the college in 1966. The first class, numbering 221 freshmen, entered in the Fall of 1967 at a temporary campus in the Village of Ilion. The temporary campus was the upper floors of the Remington Arms Company. The current, permanent campus came into use in 1971.

The college offers programs leading to associate's degrees or certificates in several dozen program areas. The college is fully accredited by the Middle States Association of Colleges and Schools.
Enrollment is approximately 3,500 students.

Herkimer County Community College's Generals have won a total of 25 NJCAA championships in women's field hockey, men's nordic, men's lacrosse, women's lacrosse, men's basketball, men's soccer, women's soccer, cross country running, and the track & field events of women's pole vault and women's 100 meter dash.
Men's lacrosse has won nine national (East Coast) titles, men's soccer has won six, women's field hockey (now defunct) has three, and men's basketball has won one National Championship. Six individuals have also won national titles in both cross country running and track & field events.
HCCC Generals teams have also won 67 NJCAA Region III Championships to go along with the 25 NJCAA National Championships.
