Heritage Pointe, Alberta

Heritage Pointe is a hamlet located within the Municipal District of Foothills of Alberta. It lies on Dunbow Road, just north of the intersections of Highway 2 and Highway 2A (MacLeod Trail), 5 kilometers south of Calgary, Alberta, Canada. It comprises two neighborhoods, the golf course section and the lake section.

"The Lake at Heritage Pointe" is a wealthy community comprised of 501 home sites. The neighborhood is centered around the lake with a beach, tennis court, volleyball nets, and a staff that manages the beach area. As well as access to peddle boats, kayaks, and fishing. In 2007, The Village Center opened offering a convenience store with a gas station, liquor store, day spa, pharmacy, restaurant, dance studio, dry cleaners, and health clinic.

"The Lake at Heritage Pointe" was developed as a partnership between Intergulf-Cidex and Upper Lakes Group. The first showhomes opened up in June 2001 with Beattie Homes, Cidex Signature Homes, Greenboro Homes, Shane Homes, and Trico Homes all opening showhomes backing onto the lake. A year later, the community picked up the Alberta SAM award for "Best New Community." The neighborhood went on to win "Best Community" in 2005 and 2006. In 2003, a second phase of showhomes opened. Followed by a third phase of showhomes opening up on the Upper Lake in February 2004 with builders Beattie Homes, Shane Homes, and Trico Homes leaving and a new builder Albi Homes coming in. In the summer of 2005, a fourth and final phase of showhomes opened and have since closed.
