"Here He Comes (Lover Man)" (sometimes written as Here Comes Your Lover Man, or simply Lover Man) is a rock song written and performed by Jimi Hendrix, along with Billy Cox, Mitch Mitchell and Larry Lee, who were collectively known as Gypsy Sun and Rainbows. The song is the 3rd track on the 1997 posthumous release, South Saturn Delta. This studio version contains some dialogue at the beginning between Hendrix and an unidentified person, which could have been Chas Chandler. Hendrix states that he's "gonna try it with the long beginning, then we can start", to which the other person asks Jimi to "call it", and say what song he's going to play, to which Jimi replies "Here He Comes". After this dialogue there is a long guitar part which builds up into the main riff, which is followed by drums, bass and the rest of the song. Jimi also plays an energetic, extended solo within this version which shows Jimi in his natural studio habitat, jamming.

Lover Man was performed live by Hendrix a number of times in his later career, most notably at Woodstock in 1969, Berkeley in 1970 and the Isle of Wight, also in 1970. Hendrix and The Experience also played Lover Man at the 1967 Monterey Pop Festival, but with the lyrics of B.B. King's Rock Me Baby integrated into the tune. As well as on these official live albums, another live version of Lover Man can be found on the live box set "Stages", on disc four from the July 4, 1970 show in Atlanta.

The song was also featured twice on the 4-disc box set, "The Jimi Hendrix Experience"; an instrumental version, just over three minutes in length, on disc one, and an alternate recording, just under three minutes in length, on disc four.

More studio and live versions can be found on some of the hundreds of unofficial releases and bootlegs, including Studio Haze, Eyes and Imagination and many more.
