Herb Hunter

Herbert Harrison Hunter (December 25, 1895 - July 25, 1970) was an utility infielder/outfielder in Major League Baseball who played between 1916 and 1921 for the New York Giants (1916), Chicago Cubs (1916-1917), Boston Red Sox (1920) and St. Louis Cardinals (1921). Listed at 6' 0.5", 165 lb., Hunter batted left-handed and threw right-handed. He was born in Boston, Massachusetts.
A dependable handyman, Hunter hit .163 (8-for-49) with one home run, eight runs and four RBI in 39 career games. In 16 defensive appearances, he played at third base (8), first base (3), left field (3), second base (1) and center field (1), and posted a collective .935 fielding percentage.
Hunter died in Orlando, Florida at age 74.
