[edit] Talk about "Pump Head"

Can someone in the medical field expand this entry by discussing "pump head", the brain damage that occurs from the continuous flow of oxygen microbubbles from the blood pump?

Should this be merged with Heart-lung machine? 169.237.97.2 23:50, 15 June 2006 (UTC)

I am concerned that this article is not NPOV. It is quite long compared to similar articles, is authored by a small number of people and contains links to a number of companies responsible for producing the item described. I cannot be certain that it is not NPOV, I could be drawing wrong conclusions from an article written in good faith, however I feel that there needs to be some discussion about this article's NPOV status as there is the possibility of it being written by someone with a commercial interest. [edit] Merge

Oxygenator and this article seem obvious candidates for a merge, or some sort of reorganization, anyway. At the moment the article with the more specific title is much more detailed, which seems unbalanced, but it's also tagged NPOV. 208.76.104.133 21:06, 28 July 2007 (UTC)

I removed some of the content that it didn't seem possible to salvage, but a lot of remaining content seems to be in a bit of a gray area -- I figured I should leave that alone for the time being and see if anybody else has anything to say about it. It has been quite a while since these concerns were raised, judging by the talk page. It seems that this probably shouldn't be its own article and should be selectively merged -- it should probably just be a subsection. Zahnrad (talk) 08:57, 29 February 2008 (UTC)
