[edit] License tagging for Image:GordonWilson111.gif
Thanks for uploading Image:GordonWilson111.gif. Wikipedia gets hundreds of images uploaded every day, and in order to verify that the images can be legally used on Wikipedia, the source and copyright status must be indicated. Images need to have an image tag applied to the image description page indicating the copyright status of the image. This uniform and easy-to-understand method of indicating the license status allows potential re-users of the images to know what they are allowed to do with the images.
For more information on using images, see the following pages:

[edit] Speedy deletion of Ernst Beaux
A tag has been placed on Ernst Beaux requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section A7 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because the article appears to be about a person or group of people, but it does not indicate how or why the subject is notable: that is, why an article about that subject should be included in an encyclopedia. Under the criteria for speedy deletion, articles that do not indicate the subject's importance or significance may be deleted at any time. Please see the guidelines for what is generally accepted as notable, as well as our subject-specific notability guideline for biographies.
If you think that this notice was placed here in error, you may contest the deletion by adding {{hangon}}
to the top of the page (just below the existing speedy deletion or "db" tag), coupled with adding a note on the talk page explaining your position, but be aware that once tagged for speedy deletion, if the article meets the criterion it may be deleted without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag yourself, but don't hesitate to add information to the article that would would render it more in conformance with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. Hi. Redfarmer was coorect in tagging it for a speedy; it was only a sentence. It's true Beaux invented Chanel No. 5 based on a Google search, but there is no biographical info on him which I could find. Good catch on what is clearly a notable figure, but without content, it's beter off as a red link or as a redirect. I redirected it to the main article on the perfume. If you can find any biographical info, by all means expand it into an article. --PMDrive1061 (talk) 15:28, 14 March 2008 (UTC)
- It was also misspelled. I just created a new article under the proper spelling of Ernest Beaux. Nice catch of a glaring red link! I would never have written this otherwise. --PMDrive1061 (talk) 16:02, 14 March 2008 (UTC)
Glad to help. In fact, it's grown quite a bit already. I did, in fact, find some hits under your spelling, but not that many. The red link at the Chanel No. 5 article had the correct spelling. One quick Google search and here we are. --PMDrive1061 (talk) 22:19, 14 March 2008 (UTC)
