Henry Townshend is just a nickname for Canadian born William Ashley, he got it after a few friends noticed his resemblence to the Silent Hill 4 character, and soon after became a alternitive name.

Aside from William's now longer and black hair, he retains all the physical and vocal traits associated with Henry Townshend, and William has addopted Henry's un-official cath phrase "What... The Hell" for his own use

William has many different names on the internet, the most notable and used being Digital Spooker which was inherited during a game of Half-Life 2: Deathmatch with some friends, who commented on how he popped in and out of dark places, and was thus called Spooker. Digital was added shortly after to create a unique identity and to create a common place name for him in the internet.
