This is a polished little piece, with plenty of citations - addressing an earlier criticism - and looks comprehensive, balanced, and neutral. I know another picture might be hard to come by, but the one here looks a bit indistinct (can a better quality colour picture be found, perhaps?). Another picture - of one of his steamboats - would make the article come alive. These are niggles, rather than major criticisms, though, and with a bit of spit and polish, could very well see this moving towards GA status. Edofedinburgh 03:55, 18 March 2007 (UTC)
