[edit] Schooling

Does anyone know where HHC was schooled? According to Hewitson, Stonyhurst College, Present and Past, he was educated at Stonyhurst. However, the school claims to have educated seven VC winners, but does not count Clifford among them. As the grandson of the benefactor of Stonyhurst Hall to the Jesuits, it is plausible that he was educated there, but I cannot find anything to back this up. Either the author of the book was somehow mistaken or Stonyhurst needs to know that it has a forgotten eighth VC holder among its alumni. Any info would be gratefully received - please see the discussion page at Stonyhurst College. 86.156.196.236 (talk) 23:14, 2 April 2008 (UTC)

Hewitson confused him with his cousin. HHC is not an alumnus of Stonyhurst. 163.1.126.5 (talk) 16:44, 26 May 2008 (UTC)
