Henry Wriothesley, 2nd Earl of Southampton

Henry Wriothesley, 2nd Earl of Southampton (24 April 15454 October 1581) (pronounced "Risly") was a British noble.

Henry was the only surviving son of the 1st Earl and his wife Jane Cheney. His godparents were Henry VIII, Princess Mary, Charles Brandon, and Henry Fitzalan.

After his father's death, he lived with his mother, Jane. He married Mary Browne, the daughter of Anthony Browne. They had two sons and a daughter.

He was succeeded by his second son, another Henry, who became the third Earl.
