Henry Tinsley

Henry James Tinsley was a first class cricketer who played 9 matches of first class cricket for Yorkshire County Cricket Club in 1890 and 1891, 4 games for Lancashire CCC from 1894 to 1896 and one match for the North of England in 1890. He also appeared for Staffordshire in 1906.

A right arm fast bowler, he took 4 wickets at 14.25 with a best of 3 for 15 against Lancashire. He scored 122 runs at 5.80 with a highest score of 18 against Middlesex CCC. He took 4 catches in the field.

He was born on February 20, 1865 in Welham Grange, Malton in Yorkshire and died on December 10, 1938 in Heworth, Yorkshire. His brother, Alfred Tinsley, played 58 matches for Lancashire.
