Henry Thacker

Henry Thomas Joynt Thacker (1870 - 1939) was a Doctor, New Zealand Member of Parliament and Mayor of Christchurch.

Henry Thacker represented the Christchurch East electorate in the New Zealand House of Representatives from 1914 to 1922 (Wilson, p.239 & Wood, p.103).

Thacker was a member of the Lyttelton Harbour Board (1907-22), Christchurch City Council (1929-31) and Mayor of Christchurch between 1919 and 1923 (A Dictionary of New Zealand Biography, Edited by G.H. Scholefield, Vol. 2, p.378, 1940, Department of Internal Affairs, Wellington).
