Henry Sturt, 1st Baron Alington

Henry Gerard Sturt, MA, 1st Baron Alington of Crichel, (16 May 1825 – 17 February 1904) was a British peer, the son of Henry Henry Charles Sturt. He was created 1st Baron Alington of Crichel on 15 January 1876.

He married (1) Lady Augusta Bingham, daughter of George Charles Bingham, 3rd Earl of Lucan, on 10 September 1853. They had three children.

Hon. Mildred Cecilia Harriet Sturt (1869-1942) who married 1stly 1892 Henry Cadogan, Viscount Chelsea 1868 – 2 July 1908), eldest surviving son of the wealthy 5th Earl Cadogan by whom she had five surviving daughters (a son died shortly after his father). The Dowager Lady Chelsea then married Hedworth Lambton (5 July 1856 - 20 September 1929), later Admiral of the Fleet. Lambton was the third son of the 2nd Earl of Durham.

He married (2) Evelyn Henrietta Leigh on 10 February 1892.
