Henry Slattery is an Essendon football player in the AFL . He was recruited from West Adelaide in the SANFL with selection 46 in the 2004 National Draft. Since his debut in the 2005 Home and Away season, he has impressed many fans with his hardness and aggression. He has mainly been used as a tagger, and has St Kilda star Nick Dal Santo already amongst his scalps.
Slattery's most impressive game so far of his short career came when Essendon defeated West Coast Eagles at a Friday night blockbuster at the Telstra Dome. He limited the influential Daniel Kerr to 17 disposals, which included just 3 kicks, and went a long way to help the bombers win the game.
Slattery has also been noted for his similarity in appearance to former Essendon Football Club captain, and current Assistant Coach Gary O'Donnell
