Henry Pelham-Clinton-Hope, 9th Duke of Newcastle-under-Lyne

Henry Edward Hugh Pelham-Clinton-Hope, 9th Duke of Newcastle-under-Lyne (8 April 1907 – 1988) was a British peer.
The son of the 8th Duke of Newcastle-under-Lyne and Olive Muriel Thompson, he succeeded to his father's titles in 1941. In 1988, he was succeeded by Edward Pelham-Clinton, a descendant of a younger son of the 4th Duke of Newcastle-under-Lyne.
On 23 March 1931, he married firstly Jean Banks, daughter of David Banks. Divorced in 1940, he married secondly Lady Mary Diana Montagu-Stuart-Wortley, daughter of the 3rd Earl of Wharncliffe on 30 November 1946. Again divorced in 1959, he married thirdly Sally Ann Wemyss Anstice, daughter of Brigadier John Henry Anstice on 23 October 1959. He had two daughters by his second wife.
