Henry Nicholas Bolander (1831–1897) was a German born American botanist.
Bolander worked for the California Geological Survey, and in 1864 succeeded William Henry Brewer as State Botanist for California.
In 1871 Bolander was elected State Superintendent of Schools, an office which he held until December 1875.
