[edit] Biography
Henry attended North Toronto Collegiate Institute in grade 9, and attended A.Y. Jackson Secondary School (Toronto) for the rest of his high school years before being chosen at the 2006 SM Entertainment Global Audition in Toronto, Ontario. His first appearance was in Super Junior's "Don't Don"[1] music video in 2007. Fans suspecting Henry would be added as the 14th member of Super Junior began their "Only 13" campaign. However, SM Entertainment decided to add Henry to Super Junior China, a Super Junior subgroup targeting Chinese-speaking audiences. In 2008, the group debuted as Super Junior M[2], releasing their "U" remake music video and an album entitled "迷 [Me]" soon after that incorporates Henry's violin.
Henry's areas of expertise lie in playing the violin, playing the piano, breakdancing and singing. He began violin lessons at seven years of age, and joined breakdancing competitions after learning it for one year. He has won many awards for violin and piano playing, as well as for his dancing. He can also play the drums and Latin dance.[citation needed] Henry speaks English fluently as it is his primary language, and has also studied Chinese (Mandarin and Cantonese), and Korean. He was known as the "violin boy" at his high school.
