Henry II Stakes

The Henry II Stakes is a Group 2 flat horse race in the United Kingdom for four-year-old and above thoroughbreds. It is run over a distance of 2 miles and 78 yards (3,290 metres) at Sandown Park Racecourse in late May.

It was first run in 1963 and named after Henry II of England, who founded the priory which stood on the site of Sandown Park racecourse. It was promoted to Group 2 status in 2002 having previously been classed as a Group 3 race.
