Henry II, Duke of Lorraine

Henry I (November 8, 1563July 31, 1624), was Duke of Lorraine from 1608 until his death.

He was the son of Charles III, Duke of Lorraine and Claude of Valois. He married first to princess Catherine of Navarre, Duchess of Albret and sister of king Henry IV of France.

With no issue from this union, he married for the second time to Margerita Gonzaga, with whom he had two daughters, both married to cousins:

Henry was succeeded by his younger brother.
