Henry H. Kennedy, Jr. is a United States District Judge for the United States District Court for the District of Columbia.

Following graduation, he worked for the law firm of Reavis, Pogue, Neal and Rose. Subsequent to this he was an Assistant United States Attorney for the District of Columbia between 1973 and 1976.
He served as a United States Magistrate for the United States District Court for the District of Columbia between 1976 to 1979. He was appointed Associate Judge of the Superior Court of the District of Columbia in December 1979 where he served until he was appointed as as a federal judge in September 1997. He has two kids Alex & Morgan

He studied at Princeton University graduating in 1970. He received a J.D. in 1973 from Harvard Law School.

- In November 2007, Kennedy ordered the administration of George W. Bush to stop destroying its emails.[1]
- On January 9, 2008, Kennedy refused to hear the case of the destruction of interrogation tapes by the CIA.[2]
