Admiral Sir Henry D'Esterre Darby, KCB, (1750-1823) was an officer in the Royal Navy. He was the second son of Jonathan Darby IV Esq., of Leap Castle, in King's County, Ireland. He was the nephew of Vice-Admiral George Darby. He was promoted to Captain in 1783 and served under Nelson and had command of HMS Bellerophon at the Battle of the Nile in 1798. He was promoted to Rear Admiral of the Blue in 1804; Rear Admiral of the White in 1805; Vice Admiral of the Blue in 1810; Vice Admiral of the White in 1811.
