Henry Crichton, 6th Earl Erne

Henry George Victor John Crichton, 6th Earl Erne (born 9 July 1937) is an Irish peer and the current Lord Lieutenant of Fermanagh.

Crichton is the eldest son of the 5th Earl Erne and his wife Davina (a younger daughter of the 2nd Earl of Lytton) and a godchild of George VI. He inherited his father's titles in 1940, a few weeks before his third birthday and was educated at Eton. In 1952, he was briefly a Page of Honour to George VI and continued as such under Elizabeth II until 1954. On 5 November 1958, Lord Erne married Camilla Roberts and they had five children:

  • Lady Katherine Patricia (b. 1962)
  • Lady Tara Guinevere (b. 1967)

From 1960-68, Lord Erne was a Lieutenant in the North Irish Horse. He is a member of the Royal Ulster Agricultural Society and the Royal Forestry Society and has been Lord Lieutenant of Fermanagh since 1986. He divorced his first wife in 1980 and on 21 June 1980, married Anna Bjorck.
