Henrik Horn
From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia
Henrik Horn (1618-1693) was a freiherr, military, field marshal (1665), admiral (1677) and member of the Privy Council of Sweden (1677).
Henrik Horn distinguished himself in the Polish campaign and was appointed Governor-General of Bremen-Verden in 1666. In spite of the fact that he had little experience of sailing, he was given the command of the Swedish Navy in 1677. The same year, he was defeated by Denmark in the Battle of Køge Bay.
In 1678, he was appointed as the Commander-in-Chief of Swedish Livonia.
