Henrik Fisker

Henrik Fisker (born 10 August 1963 in Denmark) is a leading automobile designer and CEO of Fisker Coachbuild. He has lived and worked in Germany, London, and in Southern California. Henrik Fisker graduated from the short-lived Swiss campus of California's Art Center College of Design in 1989. Best known among his creations are the Aston Martin DB9, Aston Martin V8 Vantage and BMW Z8.

From 1989 to 1992, Fisker worked as a designer at BMW Technik GmbH, BMW's advanced design studio in Munich. Among other projects, from 1992 to 1997, Fisker designed the the Z07 concept car which was showcased at the 1997 Tokyo Motor Show and the exterior of the production BMW Z8 roadster. Fisker was the president and chief executive officer of DesignworksUSA from January 2000, an industrial design firm and a subsidiary of BMW headquartered in Newbury Park, California, with a European office in Munich, Germany. Henrik Fisker joined the Ford Motor Company in 2001, where he served as Design Director for Aston Martin. Fisker was creative director of Ingeni, Ford Motor Company's London-based design and creativity center, from September 2001 to August 2003. In August 2003, Henrik Fisker became the Director of Ford's Global Advanced Design Studio (CAPC) in Irvine, California. Fisker has also sat as a member of the Board of Directors at Aston Martin. Fisker left Ford to team up with Bernhard Koehler to start a new luxury car company, Fisker Coachbuild, based in Southern California. The company builds and sells tailor-made cars based on production platforms.
