Henri Parot

Henri Unai Parot Navarro was a member of the Basque armed terrorist group ETA. He was born in Sidi Bel Abbes in 1958, son of an exile Basque-French marriage. When the Algerian war ended and he was 18 years old, he returned to the Basque-French city of Bayona, where he learned Euskara.

He was arrested in April 2, 1990 in Seville after an exchange of gunfire with the police. In 1990, he was sentenced to prison sentences with a total length of 4,797 years for his involvement in 26 murders and 166 attempted murders between 1978 and 1990. He was also convicted of involvement in a 1987 bombing which killed 11 people.
