Henri I de Bourbon, prince de Condé
From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia
Henri I de Bourbon, prince de Condé (December 29, 1552 – March 5, 1588), was, like his father Louis I de Bourbon, prince de Condé, a French Huguenot general.
He escaped the St. Bartholomew's Day massacre by an oath of abjuration.
He married twice; first to Marie de Nevers (1553−1574):
- Catherine (1575-1595), Marquise d'Isles
Secondly to Charlotte de la Tremouille (1568−1629):
- Eleanor (1587-1619), married in 1606 to Philip William, Prince of Orange
- Henry II (1588-1646), Prince de Condé
