Henri-Jacques de Caumont, duc de La Force

Henri-Jacques de Caumont, duc de La Force, (March 5, 1675 - July 20, 1726), was Duc de La Force, member of the Académie française and Finance Minister of France.
He was close to Regent Philippe I, Duke of Orléans.
He was Finance Minister in 1718 and 1719. He was member of the Académie française (seat 7) between 1715 and 1726.
In 1715 he was appointed protector of the académie royale des belles lettres, sciences et arts de Bordeaux.
In June 1698 he married Anne Marie de Beuselin de Bosmelet and had 4 children who all died before the age of five.
The title of Duc de La Force went to his brother Armand.
