Heneghan Peng architects was established in New York in 1999 but relocated to Dublin in 2001. It was founded by Roison Heneghan and Shi-fu Peng.

Although a young firm, it has won some very significant commissions, including the new Grand Museum of Egypt[1][2], Aras Chill Dara in Kildare, Ireland, the Giant's Causeway Visitor Centre and new footbridges at the London Olympic park.[3][4] To win the Egyptian Grand Museum, the firm won a design competition with 1557 entries, despite having only five staff members at the time.

The firm now has 34 members of staff.[5] Roisin Heneghan addressed 2007 RIBA conference in Paris together with Tony McLaughlin from Buro Happold, on the topic of the ongoing collaboration between the two firms and the design of the Egyptian Grand Museum.[6]

[edit] Awards

The Aras Chill Dara project in Kildare, one of the firms few completed projects, won an RIBA European Award in 2006.[7]
